RU PURGING AT PLASTICS is set to make a significant impact on the African packaging industry with the launch of its state-of-the-art Liquid Purge compound. The new product has been widely tested and approved by many converters both in SA and Africa. This major milestone for the company and product will have a major impact throughout the African continent, offering a locally produced solution for a crucial aspect of the packaging process: machine cleaning.
THE decision to establish this locally produced Purging compound was born out of a strategic shift to address the growing demands of the African market for effective machine cleaning and maintenance product. Managing director Ursula Webber explains: ‘We recognise that companies in our industry are constantly evolving and a quality purging compound can help them.’
RU PURGING offers savings during start up, colour and material changes, challenges with black spots, stripes or burnt material. ‘These are issues that a plastic processing companies deal with every day in their production,’ Ursula adds. ‘Using our Liquid Purge compound can help save up to 90% of these costs. According to her, reduced scrap & faster turnaround times is what companies are striving for in the industrial sector, including packaging, medical and pharmaceutical, cosmetics, automotive, electrical and household appliance industries. ‘Customers that are using our Liquid Purging Compound consistently realise less machine downtime,’ she adds. ‘The African market presented an exciting opportunity, and we wanted to capitalise on that by manufacturing RU PURGING locally and supplying directly to the continent.’
